Windows Defender

Windows Defender is an Anti Spyware Software that included with Windows 8 to protect your PC against Viruses, Spyware and Other Unwanted Software. It will be installed on your PC  automatically when you install window 8. When you connect to the Internet or  install Software, games etc... it will protect your PC.



Make sure always your windows defender is turn ON to protect your PC against viruses, Spyware and other unwanted software.

Lets See Some of the Functions of the Windows Defender

Go to Settings

Click Control Panel

Select Action Panel

Under Security Category Click Windows Update Change Settings 

Now Action Center popup will appear. In that Click Turn on Windows Defender and update definition 

Now Windows Defender will appear. Click on Home Tab. Here You can see Some of the error messages appearing. Such as :

• Real Time Protection is Turn off
• Virus and Spyware definitions are out of date
• You haven't run a scan on your PC

These error messages will appear if you not update correctly. So first You have to update your Windows Defender.

To Update Windows Defender Click Update Tab and Update. Now it is Updating.

After finish Update your Windows Defender will be secured. Now you can Scan Your PC.

After Scan you can view Harmful actions  in History Tab if Windows Defender detected by clicking on View Details

In Settings Tab you can change several changes. One of the important functions is Turning on Real time protection. To enable this Click Settings - Real Time Protection - Tick Turn on Real time Protection - Save Changes
